The site is located within the Architectural Conservation Area. The development site comprises three historic structures; Hanging Gardens, General Post Office and The Mercantile Building.

Work was carried out with utmost care and attention in order to ensure the architectural integrity of the building is retained. The project included the completion of a partially constructed 7,765m² six storey over basement shell and core office building, the demolition of 19 Henry St and the construction of a 1,900m² five storey shell and core office building, as well as the refurbishment of 680m² of the existing Mercantile, GPO and Hanging Gardens Buildings.

This project, with its increased footprint, offers an opportunity to make a visible street presence and to clarify the interfaces between the various elements of the project, its relationship to the street, circulation routes and materials strategy. The completed development will include 7432m² of Grade A office workspace.
