Padraic Rhatigan

Group Chairman

In July 1981, Padraic Rhatigan became the second-generation leader of JJ Rhatigan & Company. Following in the footsteps of his father, John J Rhatigan, Padraic became Managing Director of the company. Since then, he has led the group to success with a move into the development field in the 1990s, and continued expansion into new sectors and new regions with offices throughout Ireland and the UK.

Ger Ronayne

Chief Operating Officer, UK Managing Director

Ger Ronayne joined JJ Rhatigan & Company in 1998 as a Senior Site Engineer. Within six months, he had become a Project Manager. In 2000, he was promoted to Contracts Manager, reporting to the Contracts Director. In 2006, Ger progressed to Regional Director responsible for operations in the West, Midlands and North West Regions, and the UK. Ger has a wealth of experience in construction across all sectors overseeing Programme, Budget, Health & Safety and Quality standards.

Lorna Tyrrell

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Lorna is the Chief Financial Officer of JJ Rhatigan, where she leads the finance function for both JJR Ireland and the UK. Lorna is also a member of the Senior Leadership Team and works alongside the Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. She works closely with the Group Chief Financial Officer on governance, strategy and overall business performance as part of the JJ Rhatigan Group.

Tom Neylon

Regional Director

As Regional Director, Tom has the overall responsibility the construction business in the UK. With over 10 years of experience at all levels and disciplines including project management and quantity surveying, Tom plays a hands-on role overseeing project delivery. Tom brings wealth of construction expertise having delivered a range of projects up to £160m in value, in residential, hotel & leisure, education, commercial and mixed use sectors.

An effective communicator and strategically minded, Tom is a champion of performance improvement. Tom’s focus is to ensure successful handovers, cost control, resolution of contractual matters through a collaborative approach with clients; and the implementation management systems and company policies in respect of Quality, Health & Safety and Employment.

Sarah O’Donohoe

DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES

Sarah leads the HR team in strategic planning and human resource excellence for JJ Rhatigan. Her people skills and 17 years’ experience in personnel management ensures the HR programmes and initiatives are effective, efficient and aligned to the overall business objectives of the company. She is responsible for ensuring that the company and its sub-contractors are fully compliant with all Employment Law and Legislation and she has extensive knowledge of dispute resolution. Sarah’s main objective is to improve the HR processes within JJ Rhatigan and to implement strategies in recruitment, employee retention, employee satisfaction and succession planning.

Emmet Hynes

HEALTH AND SAFETY DIRECTOR

Emmet has worked with JJ Rhatigan & Company for almost two decades, ensuring strategic best practice and daily compliance with health and safety across the Group. As the Health & Safety Director & PSCS Coordinator, Emmet has seen the company’s safety department grow and strengthen as the company has expanded.

Martin Davey

Commercial Manager

Martin is the Commercial Manager for the UK, responsible for securing new contracts, cost control on numerous projects and updating our clients on budgetary control. He also oversees snagging and defects management for projects nearing completion.

Mark Flynn

BIM Manager

Mark has extensive knowledge in the use of BIM technologies both professionally and academically and heads the UK BIM team.

Mark joined JJ Rhatigan in 2013 through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership with Innovate UK and Queen’s University Belfast and has been responsible for the introduction, dissemination and embedding of Building Information Modelling competencies and processes throughout JJR. To supplement this, Mark is also now completing his Masters in Project Management & BIM.

Mark has implemented successful training programmes for JJ Rhatigan staff and supply chain to roll out BIM 360 field on-site management system, BIM execution plans and introducing the government mandated BIM standards, PAS 1192-2, across all live projects. These initiatives were instrumental in JJ Rhatigan achieving BIM Level 2 accreditation with the British Standards Institution (BSI).

Mark oversees BIM on all projects and take a hands-on role assisting project teams through the BIM set up, 3D modelling and high level clash detections with consultants discipline models.

Anna Nolan

Bid & Marketing Manager

Anna has worked for JJ Rhatigan for 7 years and was recently promoted to Bid & Marketing Manager, overseeing all tender and bid work for the UK office. Anna is highly motivated, innovative, customer-focused, and has a ‘can-do’ attitude. Anna is an experienced manager, able to motivate and inspire others and obtain a high level of work from the team to ensure all deadlines are met efficiently and that bids are of the highest quality possible.
