UCC Student Hub
One of the oldest buildings in the centre of the University College Cork campus has been transformed into a new six-storey Student Hub Building, catering for 18,000 students. It includes a state-of-the-art campus radio station, large multi-purpose event space, support services for students with disabilities, flexible learning spaces and offices for the student’s union and clubs and societies. The old anatomy lecture theatre has been transformed into a 70-seater indoor amphitheatre and the new outdoor public space allows for student and community events. This new energy efficient Student Hub Building breathes a new life into the former Windle Building, creating a new connected space for students.
