UCD University Club was developed to provide University staff, corporate clients and the community with a first-class social engagement setting, complemented by the excellent existing conference event facilities of O’Reilly Hall. This project comprised of the construction of a two-storey extension with a single storey enclosed roof plant area.

The extension incorporates private dining areas, lounge areas, fully functional kitchen, toilet block, and small office areas etc. The reconfiguration to the existing O’Reilly Hall includes new staff facilities and a toilet block to the first-floor level and the removal of a staircase, with alterations to the ground floor area surrounding the existing kitchen.

The works also include soft and hard landscaping, road realignment, site services and the provision of 40 bicycle parking spaces adjacent to the existing building. The works also comprise of the construction of an external yard, which includes ancillary buildings and a lift. The total gross floor area of proposed development is c.1,835m2 new build, c.325m2 O’Reilly Hall reconfiguration and c.243 m2 of enclosed roof plant.
