This project involved the construction of a bundle of 2 separate buildings including a stand-alone hi-technology Science Research Building and an extension to the James Hardiman Library for a Humanities and Social Sciences Research Building.

The works for the Science Research Building included the design and construction of an 8,212m² building including 6 x 1000m² laboratory modules with support spaces, including a BioResources Unit, meeting rooms, laboratories, write up space, offices, canteen, reception, and a seminar room.

The works for Arts, Humanities & Social Science Research Building included integrating it with the existing James Hardiman Library. The project included extensive interfacing works with the existing Library and external podium including the re-routing and integration of mechanical and electrical services
