This project consisted of a three storey building, insitu concrete frame, complete with mechanical, electrical, lift, telecommunications and security fit out. The building also included curtain wall glazing and modern architectural paneling with a large glazed entrance. The roof screeds were laid to falls with asphalt over the main structure and PVC Roofing membrane over the Atrium.

The main internal wall was constructed in 215 block work. Each floor had a loading bay constructed with associated safety barriers. There were two lifts fitted, one for goods and the other for passengers. The building was constructed as ‘Shell and Core’ for the production area, with all main cabling and boards being installed. The main ventilation and heating system were installed where possible leaving provisions for future connections. Design co-ordination was of the utmost importance, including numerous M&E consultant meetings to allow for provisions for later changes to alternative production lines. Some areas were highly sensitive, due to the nature of the works. Special restricted access procedures were required for construction staff in these areas, i.e. Data Centres, Research Laboratories, etc.

Much of the works had to be carried out during weekends and out of hours, which required additional security measures.
