Minister for Education and Skills, Richard Bruton TD leading the sod turning ceremony at Presentation College, Athenry

Great progress has been made since our building works commenced on site in November 2017. We were delighted to have Minister for Education and Skills, Richard Bruton TD on site earlier this month leading the sod turning ceremony for this new state-of-the-art school building.

Situated on a site to the south west side of the L-3103 Ballygarraun Road Athenry, Co. Galway, the Presentation College, Athenry is one of the largest secondary schools in Ireland and currently has over 1000 students enrolled.
This Design & Build project consist of a new two storey, part single storey, school campus comprising general classrooms, interlinked classrooms, specialist rooms, general purpose hall, special needs unit, PE & PE ancillary and all associated siteworks, plus new boundary walls/fences, landscaping, car parking, covered area for construction studies and ancillary services. The planned completion date for the new school is early 2019.
