The works consist of 3 No. phases of work which incorporates the extension/replacement of the existing supermarket, additional 3rd part retail units and residential accommodation comprising of 5 No. Townhouses.
Phase 1: Involved the demolition of the existing boundary walls and shed, the relocation of the existing services and the construction of a basement and 3 storey extension incorporating dock levellers, storage areas and townhouses in the top 2 storeys.
Phase 2: Involved the demolition of the existing rear entrance and rear store and the construction of a 3 storey extension. Shop located on ground floor and townhouses on the top 2 storeys.
Phase 3: The construction of a 3 storey extension comprising of townhouses.
Construction was of concrete retaining walls to basement, steel frame structure, hollowcore floors, enclosed by traditional masonry walls with a combination of clad and tiled roof.
