Construction of an Interconnected Primary Care Centre and Care Managed Unit with Shared main entrance, ancillary and administrative facilities on a 3.0 hectare Green field site at Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim. The overall floor area of the building is 1840m².
The building is single storey construction with pitched roofs on load bearing walls. Steel framing was used in areas where there was a large extent of glazing or clear openings. Civil Works, Car parking, associated roads and drainage were included in the contract.
The Care Managed unit includes:
- A commercial kitchen and kitchen stores with kitchen staff changing rooms
- Sitting and Dining rooms
- Treatment room
- Bathroom
- Hair and Beauty room
- Prayer room
- Laundry
- Sluice rooms
- Toilets
- Nurses Station and Nursing staff changing area
The Primary Care Centre includes:
- A reception area
- G.P. clinic rooms
- Practice Nurse Rooms
- Minor injuries room
- PHN treatment rooms
- PHYSIO/OT treatment rooms and multi-displinary rooms
- A Day services with patient shower/changing area and coffee dock were provided as part of the building
- A courtyard garden was provided for residents
The contract included the complete Mechanical and Electrical Works associated with the construction of the Building. A park land amenity with a gravel path and a bridge over a stream was created on the western side of the site.
