Refurbishment of the existing Scott Building (protected structure) of ca. 5,800m² over 4 storeys, to provide a Mental Health Centre and associated workshops and supports including:

  • Mental Health Sector Headquarters
  • Office Accommodation
  • Meeting Rooms for Administration staff
  • Education and Training Centre
  • On-Call and Office Accommodation for Hospital Management and staff.

The works also comprise full new Mechanical and Electrical Installations, new roof finishes to the existing building, new external glazing, replacement of asbestos cladding panels with suitable alternative cladding, construction of new carparking facilities on site, installation of a signalised junction on Arden Road together with all associated siteworks and services.
The project was carried out in phased handover of sections to ensure the continued operation of the adjoining and surround health care facilities including the Co. Offaly general hospital and Tullamore health centre facilities.

The works included the development of a new Data Centre which is integrated into the adjoining existing Regional Hospital.
