Description:
This project consisted of a new nursing studies building at St Angela’s College.  The gross floor area of the building was 2,000m² and consisted of clinical skills rooms, student centres, lecture theatre, therapy rooms, classrooms, communication laboratory, multimedia laboratory, library, computer rooms, offices and toilets.
Key Features:
The building was designed with a compact footprint to achieve an economical wall to floor ratio, whilst also pursuing maximum daylight and ventilation penetration into the centre of the plan and circulation spaces. The building also incorporates a high performance external enclosure with Brís de Soleil on the Southern Elevation, integrated into the Building management System in order to control the heating and ventilation of the rooms.
