JJ Rhatigan & Company wins €18m project at St. Patrick's College

<![CDATA[JJ Rhatigan & Company has been awarded an €18m construction contract for 2 new floors of F-Block at St. Patrick’s College Campus, Drumcondra.
The project entails the construction of a two storey (4500 m²) extension over the existing two storey / part three storey library building (Block F) at St. Patricks College, Drumcondra, the addition of two new fire escape staircases (192 m²) and an enclosed accommodation stair and lifts (136 m²) in the central courtyard. The works also include upgrading and cladding of the existing building, the refurbishment of the existing lower ground floor to accommodate a new entrance, covered bike parking, changing facilities and plant space (150 m²), as well as all associated site development and excavation works above and below ground.
The accommodation to be provided on the new second and third floor comprises of a variety of flat floor teaching spaces, 4 no. stepped lecture theatres, cellular and open plan offices, toilets and ancillary areas.
